Spingle.ai extension in Premiere Pro

Usage 🪄

In this section, we'll explore how to use the Spingle extension effectively. Whether you're a new user or an experienced one, this section will guide you through various aspects of the application's usage.

Step 1. Open Spingle

Once Adobe Premiere Pro is opened with your project of choice, we will proceed to open Spingle.

Navigate to Window > Extensions > Spingle.ai

This will open a panel within Adobe Premiere Pro with a login page. Proceed to follow the login steps. You must verify your email. Once verified press "Sign out" then Sign in again.

Step 2. Add Sequences to Spingle

Ensure your sequence that you want to add has only 1 track of un-edited video footage. There can only be video clips on track 1 of the sequence. The entire sequence should be flat.

You can add multiple Sequences to Spingle by dragging and dropping them into the panel. They can be different FPS and video file types.

Please note current supported file types: Supported Video File Types

We recommend using Spingle with Proxy files in a supported video file type if possible for fastest processing.

Step 3. Choose Settings

Once you have added all of your Sequences from Step 2, we can now press the gear icon ⚙️ under each Sequence item in the Spingle panel. As the cleanliness level increases, the AI becomes more strict, flagging clips with minor vibrations, shakes, or unstable camera movements.

As the cleanliness level decreases, the AI adopts a more lenient approach, allowing clips with minor vibrations while identifying those with significant shakiness.

Cleanliness Suggestions:

  • 20% for Handheld

  • 50% for Drone

  • 80% for Gimbal, Slider, Monopod

(These are suggestions but feel free to change as you see fit)

Step 4. Press Clean

This will begin the analyze process which is similar to rendering video footage in Adobe Premiere Pro. Depending on your hardware (Intel vs M1) the speed of this process can vary.

No cloud uploading is required to run Spingle.

Once the sequence has been cleaned we can go ahead and press Export. Remember there is the ⚙️settings icon on each sequence which can be adjusted again before you press export if needed.

Step 5. Press Export

Once your sequence has been Cleaned from the previous step, press Export. This will generate a new sequence with the new Spingle edits. You will see the clips being populated on the timeline.

V1 or Track 1 will contain all of the good clips

V2 or Track 2 will contain all of the flagged ("bad") clips

Step 6. Re-Export (Optional)

You can press "Go Back and Edit Existing Sequences" without having to re-process all of your footage again. You can choose different settings by clicking the ⚙️settings. Then you can press Export again to instantly export a new sequence without any processing needed.
